Yo Ho
$725, 28" x 36", Framed, UV glass
Poured acrylic paint on #300-pound Fabriano, cold press watercolor paper.
Pouring thinned acrylic paint on sloped watercolor paper was my earlier style of painting
before commencing sticker collages. The painting YoHo was inspired during a visit to
YoHo National Park in British Columbia, Canada. A raft ride on the Kicking Horse River
wearing a wetsuit for protection from glacial water offered an intimate and direct
experience with the raw beauty of this wilderness. What I saw became transformed into
an abstract landscape painting. Hopefully it conveys the coolness of glacial waters and
crisp air.
